Recently, Antonio Julio Castiglioni Neto, Chairman of Companhia do Metropolitano de São Paulo – Metrô, led a technical delegation on an official visit to Suzhou Huaqi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., accompanied by executives from CRRC Qingdao Sifang and CRRC Brazil. Huaqi Intelligent’s General Manager, Zhong Hua, along with the management team, hosted the delegation throughout the visit.

The delegation first toured the Joint Research Laboratory for Smart Transportation, where they observed demonstrations of core systems. The technical team’s presentation of multi-system coordination and safety linkage functions left a strong impression on the visitors.

During the visit, Chairman Antonio Julio Castiglioni Neto provided an overview of São Paulo Metro’s new line construction and the upgrading of existing lines. He expressed high recognition for Huaqi Intelligent’s innovative technologies and international track record, and conveyed a strong desire for deeper collaboration. He expressed the hope that Huaqi Intelligent would participate in Brazil’s rail transit development, working together to advance the local industry.

In the course of the discussions, both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges on topics such as technical standards and localized services, focusing on the modernization needs of the São Paulo Metro network. Huaqi Intelligent shared successful application cases from relevant projects in Brazil, as well as the adaptability of its systems to local conditions.

The company also showcased its customized technical support framework for overseas projects. As a long-term partner, CRRC Qingdao Sifang shared its experience in applying Chinese rail transit technologies in the Latin American market, offering valuable references for future cooperation.

This visit is expected to pave the way for a new model of collaboration between Huaqi Intelligent and São Paulo Metro—transitioning from a mere equipment supplier to a provider of comprehensive system solutions—further advancing Huaqi Intelligent’s expansion into the rail transit markets of Belt and Road countries.
